ABSTRACT - At a global level, a scientific and public discourse has emerged with a growing recognition of the need for profound changes to advance towards a sustainable transition. In this context, transdisciplinary research emerges as a promising approach to address the complex and uncertain nature of the problems we face in the XXI century. In this scenario, some relevant questions arise: Are the universities prepared to incorporate new forms of knowledge production?. What are some of the key frameworks that can be used for transdisciplinary research?. What capacities need to be developed towards a sustainable transition?.

RESUMEN - A nivel global ha emergido un discurso científico y público con un reconocimiento creciente sobre la necesidad de cambios profundos para avanzar hacia una transición sostenible. En este contexto, la investigación transdisciplinaria emerge como un enfoque prometedor para abordar la naturaleza compleja e incierta de los problemas que enfrentamos. Y se plantean algunos interrogantes relevantes: ¿están las universidades preparadas para incorporar nuevas formas de producción de conocimiento?, ¿cuáles son algunos de los marcos clave que se pueden utilizar para la investigación transdisciplinaria?, ¿qué capacidades son necesarias desarrollar hacia una transición sostenible?. |
